Sailing on Winnipesaukee Lake

Yesterday, as part of the Fall programming for Recreation Programs I went sailing with Liz and Tom.  We boarded our Pearson 26 sailboat midmorning in Fay’s Boat Yard, Winnipesaukee Lake.  After a short boat brief by Kelly we were underway to the “Broads”.  The Broads is an open (nothing to hit) area northeast of Welch island and southwest of Tuftonboro neck.  There we talked about sail theory, practiced some tacking and jibing and we enjoyed the 15 plus knots of wind Mother Nature was offering.  Overall, it was a fantastic day, sunny and beautiful, plus amazing company.
